DESCRIPTION: Part of knowing how to function inside an IDLH environment requires the need to know how to call for help and recognize the signs of an emergency.  Radio communication training occurs often but rarely ever includes calling a mayday.  Most officers and Chiefs don’t want to believe that anything bad can happen to their crews on a fire scene so this training is bypassed.  But what happens when it’s actually needed?  What happens to your body when you enter a “fight or flight” stage?
