Description: This course will prepare a responder in prevention, identification, and treatment of Cold Weather Injuries (CWI). Classroom training on cold injuries and avoidance is not sufficient to prepare responders for operating in cold weather. Topics include the following CWI’s: Chilblain, Hypothermia, Immersion Foot, Frostbite, cold-water immersion, trauma patient in cold weather, and near drowning.
