DESCRIPTION: This program is intended for any emergency response personnel who might be called to an incident that involves a problem with an elevator.  As our communities continue to change and grow, the number of responses to these types of incidents is on the rise.  This class will combine classroom and practical exercises to give the student a better understanding of elevator emergencies.  Topics to be covered include elevator types and components, safety concerns, Lock-out / Tag-out, Use of elevator door keys, Emergency control operation functions, and procedures to follow for trapped occupants.
